From fibre to finish, every Araha London scarf is made through low-impact processes, traditional hand block-printing, and hand-finished detailing—because longevity is the most responsible form of luxury. |
At Araha London, we believe true luxury is considered and responsible.
We work primarily with 100% silk, a natural, biodegradable fibre with a low environmental impact. Silk production supports mulberry cultivation, which helps absorb carbon dioxide and requires minimal chemical intervention.
Our scarves are produced in limited runs using traditional hand block-printing techniques, reducing waste and avoiding mass production. From fibre to finish, we prioritise thoughtful sourcing, skilled craftsmanship, and materials chosen to endure—both in quality and design.
All Araha London scarves are finished using a hand-rolled, hand-stitched hem, rolled toward the front and completed by trained artisans. This finishing method is manual and low-energy, eliminating the need for automated hemming machinery and reducing electricity consumption at the finishing stage. The process avoids additional chemical treatments, adhesives, or synthetic reinforcements, helping to preserve the integrity of the natural silk fibre.
Hand-rolled hems enhance product durability and lifespan by reducing edge stress and fraying, supporting Araha London’s approach to longevity-focused design and reduced replacement cycles. Each scarf is individually finished, allowing for controlled quality assessment at the final stage and minimising material waste associated with mass-production finishing processes.
